These Zafu's covers are made by the women in the ROKPA Workshops Nepal. "Rokpa" is the Tibetan word for "to help" or "to serve". ROKPA INTERNATIONAL is a registered charity working principally in Nepal and Tibet to help people in need, providing medical care, food, clothing and education. ROKPA also has a workshop for destitute and abandoned women. These women are trained and supported by ROKPA so that they can acquire sufficient skills to eventually start their own businesses if they wish. They are taught to design and sew clothes as well as other useful articles, which they will later sell.
