Replacement Futon Mattresses
All futon mattresses include a top and bottom layer of a high quality and luxurious product called poly cotton wool. The centre of the futon mattress is generally filled with a number of layers of rebound felt, which will give you real comfort and a good nights sleep!
We do not supply our mattresses by layers as this can be very deceiving, for example you could have a retailer who supplies a 6 layer that is thicker then the 8 layer from someone else. This is all because there is no UK standard set to measure layers, so one may have fewer layers then another supplier but have better quality fillings which will be more comfortable and last longer.
To make it simple we supply the Tri-fold and Bi-fold mattress as shown below:

Futon History Futons gained popularity in the US in the 1970's - derived from the original Japanese futon, the "shikibuton". Western futons are based on the Japanese original. They are often placed on a configurable frame for dual use as a bed and a chair or sofa. Typically, the frame folds in the middle allowing the futon to be used as a sofa and flattens to be used as a bed.
