I am writing to you to say thank you for my AromaSteam which I bought last year. I was recommended your product by a friend who also has a one. She told me it might be of help and after trying hers I decided to get one. At that time I was under a lot of stress and was having difficulty getting a good night sleep. I just felt overwhelmed.
After your recommendation I used the relaxation oil and made it part of my "getting ready for bed ritual" every night, just for 10 minutes or so. I can honestly say from the first night I slept like a baby! I now just do a couple of times a week to keep myself on track, increasing or decreasing the amount of usage depending on what happened that day, or just some "me" time.

I have used the AromaStream most days for 5 weeks and my allergies are much better, in that I have fewer bad days, my chronic arthritis seems to be improving slowly, but probably the two are connected and will need a little longer to resolve. I will write an update in a few months.
May 28 2006 Addendum: Since writing this I have now been using the AromaSteam for four months on a regular basis and can say that my tendency to allergy (inhaled moulds and gut Candida) are much better and easier to cope with, despite our enduringly cold winter. My arthritis is still improving, too. I have noticed an improvement in my skin (looks great and I'm not young,) and quality of sleep.
July 8 2006 Update : My allegies have been much better this summer, presumably due to removal of "toxins and residues" and the effect of this on lowering the "total load" on the body.
April 2007 Update :I have now been the delighted owner and regular user of an Aroma-steam Portable Sauna for 15 months, it is a delight to use, there is something very compellingly pleasant about the combined steam and aroma. My health and energy have improved, my hair and nails grow much faster and my skin condition and complexion have improved and I sleep well. I still have occasional "allergy attacks" but they are much shorter and milder. I am sure that removing "toxins" as part of reducing the "total load" on the body is a sensible general approach to many health and energy problems.

Just wanted to let you know I received the AromaSteam this afternoon. I still can't figure out how it arrived so incredible fast but I was more than happy to get it. I had it assembled and I tested it within an hour after it had arrived and must say I love it. My husband is going to get me a shower mat for the floor because I wear an artificial leg which cannot be used while in the sauna. So the floor is a bit slippery when getting in and out with only one leg. Benefits of steam bathing
Skin matters: Rehydration, Cellulite Eczema, Psoriasis and other skin conditions.
In the AromaSteam the heat from the steam causes the heart to beat faster and harder in an attempt to cool the body, causing blood to flood even the smallest capillaries. At usual room temperatures of about 70° Fahrenheit (21°C) the cutaneous (skin) blood flow is 5 - 10 percent of cardiac output at rest. However, during the steam bath, the blood flow to the skin can go as high at 50 to 70 percent of the cardiac output! Increased blood flow to these tiny capillaries (just under the skin's surface) causes the skin to glow and look healthy because the blood cells carry minerals, vitamins and oxygen: vital for a healthy body and rehydrating the skin.
At the same time AromaSteam causes all 2.6 million pores to open and perspiration begins. Tone-dulling toxins are naturally expelled and in turn the skin naturally exfoliates leaving behind a clean, supple skin that's firm to the touch.

Boost Immune system
By elevating the body's core temperature above 37.2 °C an artificial fever or "hyperthermia" is created. When taking a steam bath, skin temperatures rise to 40 °C (104 F) and internal body temperatures rise to about 38 °C (100.4F) Fever, often associated with disease is actually the body's natural repose to infections. Creating an artificial fever stimulates several important processes that are highly beneficial for raising the body's immune system.
Viruses can usually only survive within a narrow temperature range, elevating the body's core temperature may stunt the virus' multiplication or eliminate the virus outright.
Creating an artificial fever triggers the release and further production of white blood cells, antibodies and other proteins called Interferons. The word arthritis actually means joint inflammation. Precautions
There are a few precautions to keep in mind. Because of the increase in cardiovascular activity caused by the high heat, sweat therapy is not recommended for people with heart disease or other cardiovascular problems. Individuals with high blood pressure should first consult their doctor.
In addition, the treatment is not advised for pregnant women, small children, or the elderly. Do not take a sweat treatment if you have a fever or an open wound. If you have been working out, be sure that your body has had time to cool down before exposing it to the heat of a sweat bath.

What is it?
Aromatherapy is the use of aromatic components of plants to facilitate healing. The most common extract used for Aromatherapy are pure essential oils which are liquids obtained from plants, that evaporate at room temperature with characteristic aromas.
How does it work?
A human being should be able to recognise between 3,000 to 10,000 different aromas. The area where this is experienced is called the Olfactory system.
