Finished in silver and featuring a beech ‘sprung-slat’ sitting and sleeping platform, the Kobushi combines with a specifically made futon mattress to provide a neat and compact sofabed.

Myoko Futon

The contemporary style Myoko Futon combines a silver finish metal frame featuring distinctive ‘oval-section’ arm-rests with a simple ‘clic-clac’ action, enabling simple conversion from a sofa to a bed and back again.

The Myoko also features a beech ‘sprung-slat’ sitting and sleeping platform for improved comfort and utilises the durable ‘Twin-Loft’ Futon consisting of layers of cotton, woolfelt and two central layers of rebound polyester.

Futon History
Futons gained popularity in the US in the 1970's - derived from the original Japanese futon, the "shikibuton". Western futons are based on the Japanese original. They are often placed on a configurable frame for dual use as a bed and a chair or sofa. Typically, the frame folds in the middle allowing the futon to be used as a sofa and flattens to be used as a bed.
